About the Site

• It's pronounced aw-ree-FEH-ra ^^
• This domain is hosted by Total Choice Hosting. It was purchased on March 20, 2004. Currently, it is owned and maintained by Mylani and Okata.
• On May 1, 2008, Aurifera.net was acquired by someone else and since the webmistresses couldn't afford the $480 fee they wanted to get the name back, on May 12, 2008 Aurifera-music.net was born
• The name "Aurifera" comes from the first closing theme of Harlock Saga, an anime written by Matsumoto Leiji. Although it isn't one of my favorite animes, I really liked the song, and became even more obsessed with it when I was unable to find the entire song. Anyway, the full title of the song is "Aurifera - To the Promised Land", composed and arranged by Inoue Akira and performed by Otagi Nozomu.
• The word aurifera is latin in orgin, and means "containing gold". It is also contained in the scientific names of some butterflies [Paralucia aurifera (Blanchard), from South Australia].
• So far, this site is made with MS Paint, Notepad, and mediocre Adobe Photoshop 7.0 skills , so please be patient with the rather sucky design... We're looking into upgrades and trying to learn new tricks, so please check up on us often ^_^
